A New War:Part Six



	"Sit down in that wheelchair,Fox,"Peppy crossed his arms.
	"But Peppy,I'm fine!Really-"
	"Either sit down on your own or I'll make you sit down."
	Fox cast a glance at his father,who shrugged and winked at him.
	"Alright,alright,"He winced as he sat down,glaring at Peppy.
	Fara clasped his paw,causing him to look up at her and smile.She was 
wearing a      a long sky blue dress,showing a little bit of roundness in 
her tummy.
	After returning home to Corneria,Fox was given the time to properly 
recover.Finaly,after three and a half weeks of being in the hospital,and 
going stir crazy,he had finaly been released.And what was more,he finaly 
was going to see his mother after nearly sixteen years.
	Bill joined them,wearing his dress uniform.Fox gave him a wry 
smile,"How's Jenna this morning?"
	Bill glared at him,rubbing his neck before giving a big shrug and 
laughed,"She's better now than she was this morning.Morning sickness is 
not exactly a fun thing to wake up to,not for her and definitly not for 
me."
	They all laughed at his comment.
	"Really,Billy,"Jenna came up behind him,giving him a playful punch.
	"Sorry Jen,"He caught her paws in his own and held her close.She wore 
the same dress as Fara,but it was emerald green,and her condition was a 
little more apparent than Fara.
	"Hey,there's Slippy and Kim,"Fara pointed toward Great Fox.
	Lily came running on ahead,Peppy laughed as she came to him,tugging on 
the edge of his jacket as a way of telling him she wanted to be picked 
up.Peppy was happy to oblige.
	"Where's your mom anyways Fox?"Falco joined them with Skye.
	"I don't know.Dad,do you?"Fox looked up at his father.
	James shrugged,"General Pepper said he would bring her from the local 
airport to the base here.I know how you're feeling Fox,I can't wait to 
see her either.It's been....."
	He looked down at his paws and smiled,"......a long time."
	Fox looked out across the base,thinking,before turning to Falco 
again,turning a wheel of his wheelchair with his paw,"Falco,not to bother 
you or anything,but have you heard from Katt?"
	"Not since....."Falco clenched his feathery fists,hanging his 
head,".....not since before Skye and me got together."
	"Hey man,I'm sorry,"Fox gave a playful hit to his shoulder,"I thought 
maybe she would have got ahold of one of us by now."
	"I wish she would,and soon,"Falco shook up a cocky smile,"Katt is one 
who can cause some trouble,and get into some too."
	Skye hugged him from behind.Ever since they had got married,and that he 
had found out about her being pregnant,Falco had become very mello.He was 
no longer the cocky and wild pilot he had once been.
	"Hey,here comes the General,"Bill pointed at a jeep heading towards 
them.
	Fox turned his wheelchair to see.
	The driver jumped from the front,opening the rear door for the 
General.Pepper stepped out,and held out his paw to the lady fox with 
him.She accepted his help and climbed out.
	Her fur was fiery red.A white blaze ended in a star on her 
forehead,going back to her cheeks and down her throat.Her ears were 
tipped in black.A long,deep brown braid was draped over her 
shoulder,loose curls about her ears and face.Her eyes were dark blue. 
	She wore a navy blue dress,with long sleeves that flared at the 
ends,embrodiered in silver thread.The dress was very long and dragged 
slightly,also tapered in silver.About her neck was a star-shaped diamond.

	Fox felt a lump in his throat,she hadn't changed.She was just as he had 
remembered her from his kit-hood.
	She turned and saw them.Tears flooded her eyes,"James!?!Fox!?!"
	James caught her in his arms,spun around once,and kissed her.They held 
each other for a moment.
	"James,I've missed you so much.I thought I lost you."
	"You never lost me Vixa,I love you baby."
	Vixa looked over his shoulder at Fox.James turned to follow her 
gaze,and let her free from his embrace.She stepped forward,held open her 
arms.
	Fox stuggled to his feet.She caught him,held him.
	She really hadn't changed,nothing,she was as she had always been.
	"Fox,my little boy,"Vixa tried to control her crying,but couldn't.She 
held him at arm's length,"Look at you,you look just like your father."
	"Mom,I never thought I would see you again."
	"I know,I thought so too."
	"Oh,"Fox held out his paw to Fara,she took it and came to stand beside 
him,"Mom,this is your daughter-in-law,Fara."
	Vixa smiled,"You're married?"
	"Yeah,and you're also going to be a grandmother."
	Vixa mouth opened in shock,she turned to look at James.Her husband 
shrugged and smiled.
	"Maybe we should all go somewhere and talk,"Peppy advised,"I think 
there is alot of catching up to do."
	"Good idea,"Fox looked toward Pepper,who gave him the go ahead,before 
climbing back into his jeep and leaving.
	"I'll talk to you all later,"Pepper called as the jeep pulled 
away,"Until then,be with your families."
	"I like that idea,"James wrapped an arm about his wife's shoulders.She 
looked up at him and smiled.
	"So what happens next?"Bill asked his friend as they all headed for the 
mother ship.
	"After all that's happened,I look forward to some quiet,and being with 
family,"Fox smiled as he felt Fara lean over to kiss him.
	"And starting our own,"She whispered into his ear.

	All of Lylat was in celebration,while StarFox was finaly able to call 
it a rest,and enjoy some total peace......for now.
